Thaïs Payan is a trainee lawyer in the Food practice, where she supports the practice group as they advise clients on regulatory compliance matters and litigation cases related to European and French food laws.

Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, Thaïs studied European Union Law at University Panthéon-Assas (Paris, France) and College of Europe (Bruges, Belgium).  She pursued her traineeship with the European Court of Justice (ECJ). She also worked in several French public institutions and international law-firms, where she strengthened her knowledge of EU internal market law and litigation.

She is currently a student of the Paris Bar School and she expects to qualify as a lawyer in October 2019. She is fluent in French and English and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
